The first thing I noticed was the thickness of the cotton/polyester material. They have some weight to them. These are great for going out, or workouts in cool weather to stay really warm, or for what I use them for, lounging around in my constant 65F/18C apartment. The pants had no shrinkage after washing in warm water and drying in a warm dryer. The XLs are definitely on the longer side. But they have a nice cuff at the bottom to secure warmth and keep out breezes. For men who are 5'7"-5'10", the Large should fit best. The XL, which these are, have a few extra inches on them. However, the rest of the pants fit exactly right (I am 5'10"). They are easy to wear anywhere for comfortable times. The zippers on the pockets are solid and make them nice for cool running workouts so nothing will fall out of them. Overall, a good buy for thick and warm workout/training/sweats that are better than average.
