Advantages: easy to clean, no disassembly required for cleaning. Cons: Constipation in smoothie bowls. I made oatmeal and let it cool, and then tried to make a smoothie. The device grinded and began to smoke. Bought an Oster Pro 1200 glass blender, 24 oz smoothie cup, brushed nickel. The Oster Pro has a wider and taller blade and makes great smoothie bowls. The only problem with the oster is that it needs to be disassembled to clean the blades, gasket and lid, but the blending action is better, so I'll address the cleaning issue to improve blending. Plus, the Easter is about $50 cheaper.
