**Update** In addition to my initial review below, I would like to point out that I am very pleased with the performance of this bag. So far it's survived four flights as a carry-on, rain showers when my gear was dry, and 7 theme parks in Orlando. It holds a decent amount of stuff and isn't comfortable to wear. What worries me, Anne, is the leather stitching at the bottom where the strap attaches. It shows some stretching and tearing. Hopefully it survives the next trip. The bag looks good and feels sturdy enough for the short trips I intend to use it for. Crate. Plan on waxing again when you need water resistance. I deduct a star for that. Otherwise, simplicity is the name of the game with this bag. They have two zipped compartments, a main compartment and a smaller compartment that faces you when you carry the bag. The main compartment has a smaller inner pocket to separate your belongings. That's all. No additional fasteners, buttons or Velcro. Great if that's what you're into.
