Good monitor while working

The monitor itself is of good quality and works well. if it works. But often, especially after my computer goes to sleep, all the pixels appear on the monitor with strange lines, and the picture becomes shaky. Turning the monitor off and on again fixes the problem, but it's still a major annoyance.
