This unit was exactly what I needed for my home theater setup so I could at least conceptually hide all the cables in the wall so I didn't hesitate to go for it order 2, one for my av receiver and one for my hdtv so i hired an electrician to finish the install in the wall and when all the work was done and i had the tests done the hdtv was to my contempt ( Samsung 65 inch 4K HDR) was not showing the signal from my 4K TiVO. I then connected another 4K compatible HDMI cable directly from the TiVO output to the TV and it worked, then went to the TiVO setup and had to downgrade the output resolution from 4K to 1080P and switch cables again and it worked . This means I have to compromise to watch all my 4k capable video sources including TiVO, AppleTV, FireTV and BD player in 1080p and I'm not happy with that but at least I can use the TV. The problem is that TiVO resets itself from time to time to auto-detect the output resolution and defaults to 4K, and then I have to repeat the cable switching process over and over again. I decided to remove the HDMI adapter part and bypass it by using a 4k capable HDMI extension cable on both ends to see if that would solve the problem, but that does the job of these wonderfully elegant solution. I hope the manufacturer will update the HDMI port to be 4k compatible soon. Then I'll increase my rating to 5 stars.
