A few months later I'm not happy. The camera hardware is great, but the interface and software are complete crap. I shoot between steep cliffs and needed a camera that I could attach and then control remotely. The advertised "telephone" is a joke. If you pause the smartphone app for just a second, for example to check an incoming text message, the connection to the camera is severed. No reunion attempts. In my case this means it takes another 20 minutes to climb the rock again. The software for the phone appears to have been written by an intern. Literally every time you open the app, a message will pop up telling you what the software is doing and you need to click OK to continue. The advertised automatic Wi-Fi backup feature is useful, but what they fail to mention is that the required PC software may no longer be downloadable. I had to find a version on a questionable third party website and just hope it isn't infected by anything. The photos are really good, but there are plenty of cameras with good lenses - I was looking for the wifi features that were so prominently advertised. EDIT: The camera got worse after a year. The Wi-Fi backup feature has stopped working. The camera is not mounted as a drive on my Mac. Unless I buy a micro SD adapter, there is literally no way for me to get photos off the camera other than emailing them one at a time.
