They were beautiful but very fragile. We lost a pen as soon as we took it out of the box. The chain on the middle finger also broke after the first use. It was easy to fix, but considering we didn't pull the chain at all and it broke, I wonder how many times we'd have to fix it. The feathers have a greenish tint on the inside, but are completely black on the outside, which seemed like they had been turned inside out. I liked the natural greenish tint that seemed to be on the front of the feathers. I bought these for my daughter who has somewhat skinny arms and after pulling them up they looked too wrinkled and didn't lay flat and nice. They looked great on my hand, so I'm sure they could suit some people. They just won't endure a lot of exercise to stay beautiful. Smart people could probably make them a little more durable if they wanted to.
