I needed to replace an old Lenovo SFF computer that I was using as an HTPC. I needed a computer with a dedicated graphics card, which I built, but apparently miners and PCs have different ideas about GPU manufacturers. I was about to upgrade to a mini pc but many of them never quite matched me (minor gaming at 1080 with possibility to upgrade to 4k later, some sound and image editing with Audacity and Paint.net with Kodi for multimedia and basic browsing on the Internet). When it went on sale I jumped at it (I paid extra for next day shipping which was the original amount so it was worth it in the end). It was especially worth the asking price for 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, which costs more (can be changed/added later). I'm not trying to stress that, but it stays on for 24 hours. Days when I don't have to reboot, but this has been working fine for the past 72 hours since I got this. that it turns itself off when I get home after an 8 hour work day. Not a big deal as I'm only using this for video at the moment so it's nice to know it does (don't know if it's set by default as I thought I had it set up in the power settings in windows but definitely not. I'm not violating the terms of the contract.) ** Since I don't have a 4k TV, I can't annotate the files being played (with VLC. I can't recommend this program for ALL my media/videos). 1080p videos I ripped from the DVDs work fine. Concerned about the Radeon Vega 8, but it wasn't missing. Audio over HDMI also worked perfectly. I was also positively surprised by Bluetooth, since I connected my ATH-M50XBT and there were no problems (no delays). I can't wait to upgrade to a 4K TV (not a smart TV as the interfaces for connected TVs are terrible for the most part). 16g of RAM was very welcome (the old computer had/was a maximum of 8GB when trying to run Kodi, Chrome, Audacity and Paint.net at the same time. I know. But still). Again, I'm not trying to push this to the limit, but it's nice to know I can do all of this with no issues. Also when setting up to emulate games with MAME and others you know. some of these things instead of having separate computers to separate things. A fantastic buy for anyone who just needs a small computer for non-intensive tasks, but has enough power to do some of the things I need/want. I would have no hesitation in choosing another, either less powerful (from the same company compared to other models on Revain) for a home server, or more powerful for a fully dedicated PC. 5 stars all round.
