The best medical plaster for wound care and bandages

The best medical plaster for wound care and bandages! I have been a nurse for many years and have changed many outfits over the years. This is my "Go To" tape. If it's not on the floor, I specifically order it to be delivered from the hospital pantry. The paper tape does not stick well unless the patient is standing still. Another roll of duct tape rips off hair and skin, leaving a sticky mess that needs to be carefully wiped off with alcohol wipes. Why do I love this tape? It works in a variety of areas of wound care, but is essentially an elastic, breathable tape that moves with the patient, stays in place, and does not pull on the skin when removed. I have never had a patient have an allergic reaction to this tape. It takes some practice to learn how to unfold, tear and attach. Once you've ripped it down to the right size, use two hands to best position it. Cover the bottom bandage completely, leaving a wide margin of this band around the edges. If necessary, it can be pulled up and stretched/shifted. It is excellent for abdominal wounds and areas that flex and move (hip, shoulder and knee replacements) as well as areas that are difficult to keep in a bandage (blisters on the heels, around the toes and fingers). Also good for neatly fixing lines and hoses and keeping them in place. This bandage can be worn under clothing and stays in place during normal activities. As with any medical treatment, ensure Medipore Tape is appropriate for use on the particular wound you are applying it to. I ordered 2 packs and each roll was individually wrapped and sealed with a 3M label. I kept one for myself and gave the other to a family member who was having surgery and needed bandages on a daily basis. Good product!
