This is the second time I have bought this fan. The first fan lasted several years before the on/off switch just stopped working. It's also difficult to turn on/off with one hand, as you have to press the button so hard that you mostly have to slide the fan without pressing the button. Button with another or wrap my whole hand around the fan and thumb down on the button which is awkward when getting up from the table but despite this inconvenience I liked it and bought a replacement which has a slight rattle /squeaks that are intermittent. Once the noise enters your head, it drives you crazy. I found that slapping a fan in the face only stopped the beeping for a few moments. After realizing that "new" wasn't going to wear off or squeak anymore, I found I missed my return window by just a few days (my mistake).
