So many conflicting reviews. Decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. ABSOLUTELY ZERO PROBLEMS. The lightbulb is not broken. The light bulb hasn't burned out in a week. I was a little wary of setting it up, no matter how roughly it was handled in shipping. After an hour I saw that the lava was not concentrating at the bottom and not receiving the necessary heat. I followed the instructions and carefully tilted the lamp while it was warm to aim the lava back down. It will start flowing in 30 minutes to an hour. We never let it run longer than 8 hours at a time. As you can see from the photos, it looks exactly what you would expect from a lava lamp.
