Man I'm frustrated that I have to write this. I first bought Arcric Shield boots a winter or two ago. We were avid waders and mud boot lovers but with four kids the price was high unless you could find quality used ones. I was thrilled to find these double rooms at half price! We loved our first pair of plain black arctic shillings. They've held up great and I thought we'd found a new annual transition. (Although it wasn't until a few weeks later that we noticed on our first order that there were two different sizes in the same pair of boots, 2 and 3. Not the end of the world, and it didn't affect us until we found out. ) We bought these again this year for our older boy (his old ones were still good enough to pass down to younger siblings) and this time we opted for camouflage. The most interesting thing is that this new pair is leaking! I was so disappointed reading the reviews on this and just hoping they were wrong or dramatic. But these new boots let the water through. Some might say it's better not to "walk on water" but that defeats the purpose of waterproof boots. To be honest, I didn't contact the company for permission. I'm out of packaging or anything I really feel like that our ex couples have served us well and I wish it was an accident that could be fixed as I have even recommended this brand to friends!
