Review on Thermaltake TtMod Sleeve Extension Power Supply Cable Kit ATX/EPS/8-Pin PCI-E/6-Pin PCI-E With Combs Computer Components by John Harvieux

Take stock of what you have. Know what you use them for.

Bought these for my son's first computer build. I used a Thermaltake Core P1 case with an ASUS Mini-ITX motherboard. I knew I would only use 24 pin and 4+4 EPS cables but this was the only kit I found with the Rainbow Combo and I am a big fan of Thermaltake products. When I received the kit I noticed firstly that it came in a partially opened box and not in a Thermaltake OEM box and secondly when taking stock of the contents inside the box I noticed that all but one 8- pin were PCI connectors The -E cables were missing the combs, I also used (1) 24-pin ATX cable, (3) 4+4-pin EPS, (3) 8-pin PCI-E cable and ( 3) Get 6 pin cable PCI-E cable. They are sturdy as other reviewers have said and look fantastic. The length turned out to be much longer than I thought it would be, and the rigidity made it difficult to route the cable. In hindsight, I wouldn't use extension cords, but would have ordered special cords that went from the PSU to the motherboard.

Pros
  • Large fit for me
Cons
  • No insurance
