Part of the spoon is too deep

I love the look and feel of these cute flowers and they are easy to clean. The submersible/shallow side was great for a beginner, easy for a kid to eat. The downside is that the side of the spoon is too deep for a small child's mouth. I had to turn it practically vertically to feed my baby and even then there was food on the spoon. We really only used the flat side and then bought other spoons.
