Review on Allwon Magnetic Palette for Eyeshadow, Lipstick, Blush, and Powder Makeup - Empty Palette with Shatterproof Mirror (Black) by Kristin Rogness

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good enough for makeup

First, the mirror is warped and has a little fun house effect, so if that's important to you, go ahead. For me, the mirror didn't matter, and I walked in knowing the mirror might be bad, so that was fine with me. It's not completely useless, just very annoying. The size is really good and the packaging is very nice. The brand name is in gold letters on the lower right corner of the front panel, but it's not too big to bother me. Other comments said something about the magnet not being completely flat, which I think is somewhat true. There seems to be a slightly raised part towards the center with a slight downward curve at the edges. It's almost imperceptible to me and doesn't affect how my pots sit on the tray. It's possible you'll have warpage issues if you're using pots larger than the standard 26mm pans, but simple small pots are fine. The magnet is definitely strong enough to hold the pans, even if I bump them lightly with my back against something they stay in place. It's not the strongest magnet in my palettes, but it's definitely not the weakest, and protecting my more expensive indie shadows was the most important thing for me. I am happy with the quality for the price.
