My handyman friend installed this switch and it took me about five minutes. He said the instructions were simple, explained the colors of the wires, and the device matched the spot perfectly where the old broken switch was lost. I love that the 3-position switch has a large paddle that's easy to grab and move up and down to turn the fan on or off in one of the three speeds. A simple rocker switch controls the light on the ceiling fan. Another review recommended not using a CF bulb, so I replaced it with an LED bulb. Everything works fine and my ceiling fan works again.
