Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ford should be held accountable for these plugs

Assuming you look at this tool, you broke the plugs, as did others, me and countless others. The price of the product is very good. There is something people should know about this tool and how to use it. Well, an important and very important point and a couple of side points. I'm not a professional, just trying to help. Topics are intentionally inverted (crossed). That means you have to turn it counterclockwise to make the threads bite. We also had to press hard for it to bite, but then I figured out the problem. If you continue to press hard on the tool, it will begin to strip the thread. What happens (as I understand it) is that the threads of the tool make contact with the conical part of the broken part of the spark plug. Only inside the lip it narrows to a straight part. The bending point is where the tool can touch. So you would release all the pressure by trying to screw the tool into the engine head at an angle. I started thinking about it like threading a needle or sticking my finger in a finger trap. Make sure the tool lines up with the hole front to back and side to side. That's easier said than done. You'll know it's not built in when you apply enough force to create the diamonds and the filaments still don't spin. You should not apply more pressure than loosening a screw. Once it spins, keep tightening it until the tools stop. At this point you will hear pops. This is a piece that rotates easily in the hole. Once the tool is fully seated, you need to place the nut on the tool and turn. We found that we had to place the broken piece in a vise and turn the tool clockwise to unscrew it. It's also easier said than done. I left out the porcelain crushing part of the toolbox because it seems easy.
