5 Star Optics, 1 Star Construction

So here's the thing: The panel itself looks beautiful. Stunning and edgy, it will really make a statement. Bluetooth connection works well and connection is easy. The sound quality is really strong. But the lights on the panel never go out, and even if you turn off the panel, the bright red LED stays on all the time. Also, the device isn't grounded (it only accepts line and neutral) so it's definitely not UL listed and a bit flammable. The instructions are useless and vague (they mention a reset button, which doesn't exist), but the bracket box it comes in and the actual speaker wire connectors are designed to either a) drive you crazy or b) ask if you're listening to music again, it's worth installing this. The box is a special size, it is not designed for new construction and has no drywall strips for retrofitting. I ended up attaching the box to the drywall. To top it off, the entire plate is attached to the mount box with the WORLD'S SMALLEST screw. But seriously, the size of a mouse eyelash. It took me 15 minutes to balance it on the end of a miniature screwdriver while pressing down on the plate to line it up with the screw hole. The screw fell, I cursed and tried for 45 seconds to find the thing on the ground. The connectors are so close together and so small that it's almost impossible to insert speaker wire. All in all it took me two nights in a row just to install this amp panel and I'm still not sure it will stay in place. Given the cost of this device, it's better to find something with an easier setup.
