I was skeptical at first as the reviews made this little machine sound like a tricky 'touch the barley and break it' deal, but honestly it's not. Of course, the small curved part can break, but if you take your time and don't go crazy, it's very easy and almost self-explanatory. The presentation of this thing is so amazing and if you get the water level right this thing can pump out "smoke" like nothing happened. I used it in a pumpkin and my goodness it added to my Halloween entertainment value. In my video I will try to show you how the thing works at different water levels. Too little and it flashes red; doesn't work at all. A little water: the light will work and release some smoke. An average amount of water gives an average amount of smoke. An acceptable amount of water (where it's submerged) will pump out plenty of smoke. Too much water and you won't have any smoke at all. It's all about balance. I'll say that without this, this thing pumps more smoke with an average amount of water, but it will spill water all over the place. I laughed as I saw him throw water out of the bowl I first tasted it in. Overall this is a good buy and the light is pretty strong. It makes sense to me that it's in a pond because of the long range water can reach when thrown in the air. But if you use a dome and the right container, this little purchase can go anywhere. I recommend to the point of buying another one next Halloween and building a cauldron to house them.
