We bought the eKids kids karaoke machine for our 3 year old grandson who is already very into technology. We were pleasantly surprised by the good sound quality from the small speaker, the good selection of pre-recorded songs to sing along to, and the ease with which we were able to add MP3s to my MacBook Pro using iTunes. The easy-to-follow instruction manual explains that iTunes m4p files need to be converted to mp3 before uploading to the eKids machine, but the conversion was easy and adding files was a simple drag and drop. The player has a decent wired microphone for kids that delivers acceptable sound quality with much appreciated speaker control. The device seems well built and sturdy enough to withstand the inevitable rough handling. The only weak link might be the cable connecting the microphone to the player, luckily "Pop Pop" comes in handy with a soldering iron and heat shrink tubing. :-) A good kids karaoke machine at a very affordable price!
