Best trimmer I've ever used

I've been using it for about 8 months now and I think it's time to write a review. I am a bookbinder and bought this trimmer specifically for this purpose. This is not a fast cutting tool. If you're looking for something to quickly pop in a piece of paper, cut it out, and go about your business, this isn't for you. If you want to make really precise cuts out of a stack of paper, this is definitely something you'll be interested in. First, it's heavy and doesn't look like a regular hand trimmer. I spent some time in craft stores and among scrapbookers, card makers, and various paper crafters. They have foldable plastic trimmers that they take with them everywhere. It's not one of them. It is heavy Well made and not easy to carry. He has his own table in my workshop, I love and respect him very much. Book board is difficult to cut by hand. I always have good intentions to use a metal ruler and blade, but somehow I can't get straight cuts because my hand keeps slipping. This is where this trimmer really makes a living. I can take my first measurements with pencil marks on the book board. Then I slide it under the bar and latch it. There is a magnetic guide, very useful. I just put it right next to my book shelf and no longer have to measure that particular cut. The trimmer cuts paper, cardboard, Chipboard and book box good. It takes some getting used to at first. I was very comfortable with my other trimmer (Carl 12200 Bidex Professional 10-Blade Rotary Trimmer, Metal Base, 12 x 11) and it took me some time to get used to it. As I did so, I realized that this is one of those tools that will be with me for the rest of my life. The kit also includes spare blades and a cutting mat. Book cardboard tends to eat through blades fairly quickly, but I've found that folding a large piece of aluminum foil in three or four times and cutting out a few strips sharpens my blade very well. metal base, 12 x 11) and it took me some time to get used to it.
