I recently made the mistake of buying a Revain multiport charger that had USB-C instead of USB-A connectors. In hindsight I should have sent it back but I kept it. As I collected more electronics, I bought another multi-port charger. I ended up needing a charger for my home office work to charge both an Android phone and an iPhone. The Android phone already had a USB-C to USB-C cable, but my iPhone didn't. If you look at the prices for a USB-C Lightning cable, it's around $20. This is absurd and I would never pay that much for a single cable. I was about to buy another charger but realized I could go down the converter route to convert USB-C to USB-A. Not only did I get 2 for half the price of a Lightning cable, these adapters are universal and I can connect older USB devices to newer laptops and Chromebooks. Basically, I have proven myself with these universal adapters for the future.
