It can be worn on the right or left hand and the Velcro straps are adjustable to fit both the smallest and larger adult hands. There is a hard metal piece on the wrist/hand that immobilizes the muscles. There is a mesh lining under the straps so you don't suffer from overheating in the brace. . I love its versatility and the fact that it can be hand washed and dried.
