Update: I've just bought another one of these lights - about a year after my original purchase. I'm still very happy with the original lights, but there have been a few minor changes made to them that may concern you. On the plus side, the digital dashboard now shows the exact percentage of battery remaining (in addition to the old battery icon with generic bats showing a 25 per cent increase in battery). BUT (bad): The new variant has more built-in diffusers than the old version. While the best diffuser is probably good (the previous model had a rather limited diffuser), this diffuser noticeably alters 1) the brightness of the light, 2) the area covered by the light, and 3) distorts the color of the light - compared to what I bought earlier. So I can't just type in the same numbers as in the old world and put them side by side to get equivalent results. If you need to accurately match the results of old and new models, it will be very difficult. Almost all reviews for this little RGB light are excellent. Color accuracy is very good, and quality is comparable (or slightly better) to similar lamps that cost more. Obviously larger bulbs produce more light than these, but this light works well for the size. The only improvement I would like is to make the slider's on/off button a bit larger (or have a more textured finish). The slider is flush with the cardinal point (and harder to move than I'd like). Otherwise I have two of these lights. I mainly use them to light up my face during Zoom meetings at the computer (mounted on two small backlit stands on my desk with a few extra diffusers). Note that you can use rubber bands to attach homemade diffusers that can be cut from a 1-gallon plastic milk bottle. I like that the adjustable range of daylight colors of the lights helps keep my face from looking too red for Zoom meetings. The closer the light sources are to your face, the lower the brightness required (allowing for slightly longer battery life). Using a white background, it is also possible to colorize the area (with two of these lights) directly behind the speaker sitting in the foreground. However, keep in mind that these lights are small (the room needs to be dark for this, and these backlights need to be properly separated from the other lights aimed at the talking head).
