UPDATE: I've had them for three years now and really like them. They were my main sheets, have been washed at least 40 times and have not worn out. They are so soft and comfortable. I will buy them again in another color. Therefore, they may be expensive at first, but they offer excellent value for money. First Review: Linen is of course a bit rough at first, but becomes incredibly soft over time. I've had several sets of $300 vintage style Belgian linen sheets from Restoration Hardware that were already very soft, but that seems to be because half their lives have already been thrown out of them since both sets are made by RH - Sheets have subtle stains and breaks. in less than 2 years. Linen towels should last a lot longer! So this time I wanted to take a slightly heavier linen, soften it myself and see how long it lasts. It's really great so far! It took 5 washes and tumble dry (wash cold, tumble dry) to remove all the tiny, slightly coarse fibers. Now they are smooth and I love sleeping on these sheets! They're just the right weight, not flimsy yet lightweight, and they stay at the perfect temperature all night. Considering the price, it's worth washing them 5+ times in the beginning.
