This remote works great. It manages Xbox and all apps on Xbox including Netflix, Hulu and Media Center. Now my wife can watch local shows on Netflix and Hulu without my game controllers running out of battery. I like the fact that turning the Xbox on and off is as easy as pressing the power button. No more holding down the Big X button. I also like that it can also be used to control the TV. It took a while for the code to work for the TV, but after about 10 minutes of automatically scanning the code, I finally blocked one that worked for power, channel, volume and input. I'm not taking off a single star for this but it doesn't adjust the volume of my surround sound which I knew before buying but it would still be nice. We watch a lot of digital movies that we copy from Blu-ray to Xbox and earlier using a game controller. I couldn't fast forward or rewind when watching movies through Media Center. With this remote I can, but instead of using the fast forward and rewind buttons, you have to press and release the forward and rewind buttons. It's not true fast-forward as it only skips a minute and a few changes and you can't stop at a specific point, but at least you can go forward if you accidentally hit "Restart Movie" and you were halfway through. That. It also has backlit buttons so you can see which buttons you're pressing when you're watching a movie in the dark. I went with Microsoft's new remote control, although the new one suits my Elite due to the backlit buttons and media center button, and there have been reports that the new one tends to lose connection, especially if you don't use it directly point to it on the Xbox. This doesn't need to point directly to Xbox, just in a general direction. Overall this controller is great and the fact that I'm not constantly picking up a broken game controller is an added bonus for me. I definitely recommend this remote control.
