Just received and the lever came loose no matter how hard I tightened it. I have a replacement on the way and I'm hoping it won't have the same issue. Plus, these clippers are as beautiful and high quality as the Wahl 1919s. I collect clippers and this is my first clipper. Self-taught home hairdresser with 26 years of experience, from the age of 14, in the golden decade of the 90s. I love good things like fast feeds, seniors, seniors 1919, magic clip and workshops. If I had to compare performance, it would be equivalent to a wireless Magic Clip connected. For people who have a Magic Clip, we all know that the Magic Clip loses a lot of power when not plugged in and only runs on battery compared to when plugged in. but they are still quite powerful. You don't have this problem whether it's plugged in or not, performance remains consistent. Which surprises me quite a bit. Another benefit is that they are surprisingly quiet for a rotary cutter and have a very gentle vibration. In fact, I've never seen a cutting blade come out so fluidly from any clipper I've owned. The blades are surprisingly well made, probably better made than the shafts, and that's saying a lot. I'm sticking with this review for now and will update as soon as I get a replacement. I plan on installing Wahl Blades or Ceramic Blades to test them out. If I still have the same lever problem I will just return them and stop buying this type of clipper and stick with the known brands. So fingers crossed because this clipper is as great as a vintage car and I'd love to keep it. *Update January 10, 2020* Just received a replacement. The lever is good, not great because it still has some play, but it's nice and firm. I have used a ceramic gapless blade and let me tell you this is the best line eraser I have ever used and it is not the same trimmer as an Andist liner pen. With the ceramic blade, the blade moves even more smoothly. I cut their hair today. The bottom line of battery life is really good. I started with 100 percent and finished with 94 percent. It takes me about 30 minutes to cut my hair, maybe 15 minutes of which I cut with these clippers. I'm still a little concerned about durability. But the way I see it, I've owned 2 magic clips for about a year and a half, one of which was terribly underperforming and the magic clip was more than twice as expensive. And I only cut my hair for a few family members so no constant use like a busy hair salon. Still, they're definitely better than the half-price magic clips, and the power indicator on the LCD is an absolute lifesaver. Additionally, the build quality is on par, if not better than the Wahl 1919 and all-metal magic clip. I keep them to myself and change my rating from 2 to 4? Why 4? Well, there's no power adapter, just a cheap, short charging cable that lets you charge your phone via USB. But then again, the battery life is really amazing. Still, I would definitely recommend them highly, especially when compared to the Magic Clip.
