This is just awful. I have a lot of Luminara candles and these are the first issues I had trouble with. I only used one and it worked for a very short time. It wasn't used once a day. I recently tried another one I saved for Christmas and it doesn't work either. I have tried new batteries with no success and tried two other new batteries but they do not work. I missed the return window by five days. I threw away $30, which is hard to swallow in these economic times. I will write to Luminara to let you know that this seller may be selling defective candles. Don't buy them.
