No. Just a big no. I couldn't understand why we were sitting in the living room in the dark and my son suddenly turned off the light in his bedroom - those were both rooms we immediately turned on that lightbulb when they arrived. We bought them because they are blackout and warm. The warm part is correct. It's warm like the setting sun at 6pm, about the time you realize the house is golden and beautiful but at the same time a little hard to see, so turn on a light or two.
