Review on Maxpedition 0211B Neatfreak Organizer by Adara Delgado

Too complicated but useful with some modifications

I think the Maxpedition guys may have had too much coffee picking up this bag. As others have pointed out, there are plenty of pockets for things, but many of them are too small! Here are the mods I made to turn it into a rugged outdoor gear/bag or maybe a shooting bag. Lose the internal separator, or at least remove it somewhere. Makes more interior space as others have noted.2. I removed ALL tactical items on my back (molle webbing etc). If you load this item, it's (IMHO) too heavy to carry on a belt. This mod also makes the back pocket more useful, again IMO.3. The front zip flap has that flashy velcro under the shoulder straps. I don't know what it's supposed to be for. Using a needle, thread, and seam ripper, I removed these and then reattached the shell. I wouldn't try this mod if you don't like hand sewing, but it does make the front flap a little less stiff and bulky.4. I cut the velcro on the back of the bag so that it only covers the top two small pockets. The items in the bottom ones most likely won't fall apart, and if they do, they'll fall to the bottom of the bag. It gets three stars for its usefulness. The Maxpedition gets another star for being a solid and above all useful form factor.
