So there is an app that can be accessed via the QR code in the instructions. The app allows you to program scheduled feedings or use them manually by pressing the button on top of the feeder. You can adjust the feeding amount by moving the slider up or down depending on the number of fish, which is convenient. It has a large tank that will likely hold a full container of fish flakes, so you can definitely go on vacation for a week or more and have your fish fed. It doesn't run on batteries but plugs into the wall outlet which I think is better as you don't have to worry about the batteries dying while you're away. The instructions also say you can pair it with Bluetooth smart speakers like Alexa, Google Home, Rokid, and TMALL GENIE. But I haven't tried this method. Overall I think it's a handy little thing that helps you get one less job done to keep track of.
