I really liked this product until I was able to adjust the roughness. We had two years. The dial is stuck. (We very rarely, if ever, adjusted it. But I needed coarser salt for the recipe.) with your fingers or by tapping the small plastic buttons on the dial with a small, flat piece of wood. I tried rotating the dial with a small pair of pliers but it still didn't work. I then increased the pressure to turn the dial with pliers and the bolt sheared off. See fig. The bolt is part of a square "gear" that meshes with the grinder, unique to this product. If it is possible to replace the upper mechanism I would replace it. And I would update this review. Our second of two blocks still works as expected.
