I've had it for almost two years and it's still one of my 20lbs. My boyfriend's favorite things I have for him. He climbs up and watches everything that happens outside, and even from time to time he is lucky enough to see a squirrel climbing the building. The suction cups work great, but it's best to make sure they're a little wet. when you insert them for the first time. Then test how secure it is by putting your own weight on it. Not a lot of weight but enough to ensure your cat is comfortable. A few minor issues: 1) I really can't get the fabric cover off without disassembling everything and removing the cords from the suction cups. that once they're in, it's pretty much impossible to get out. I just wash it with soap and water sometimes. 2) My cat sometimes likes to chew on cords while inside. I'm afraid that one day it will just collapse, but in almost two years that hasn't happened. The cords are pretty strong, but I wrap the cord in peacock feathers so if he bites, he gets a gulp instead. All in all a great purchase with a high kitten to satisfaction ratio.
