I have owned two of these for a number of years and am very satisfied. Now that I'm buying three pounds of coffee, it's time to buy a third. Before I did that, however, I checked if there were better options. Put simply, they don't exist. All of the recommended products I've reviewed have locking mechanisms that may or may not close properly, but whether they work or not, they all trap a significant amount of air along with your coffee - exactly the opposite of what you want. The Airscape canister, on the other hand, is specifically designed to expel air when you lower the collar, leaving only coffee that stays fresher longer. As far as I know, not only is this the best way to store coffee, it's the only way!
