These boots are HEAVY, THICK and WELL INSULATED! WAAAAAAYYYY better than expected for $30! So far they appear to be waterproof but we'll be covering them with a coat or two of Sno Seal soon just to be sure. (The extra $6-7 for sealing is still worth it!) I figured the $30 boots would be enough to get a kid through a winter, but they would probably last my kid 2+ years, and maybe they can even be transferred. to younger family members later! These are quality boots that can be used for everyday winter play or packed into winter hiking/camping/bug repellent gear. VERY good shoes for the price!
