It didn't stain when red wine was spilled on it and it didn't stain from meat juices and traces of oil, which has been a problem for me in the past. I like that it stains less than a linen or cotton tablecloth. I will buy more of these in other colors. The size was perfect for the 4x8 table we used for a large crowd, although I would also like to see a few smaller sizes for more intimate gatherings. The color was a beautiful complement to my Bernardaud Aida porcelain, which is hard to beat.
