I usually fall somewhere between regular and petite so I ordered both versions of these pants. The petite was too long when wearing flats (my only option) and I have a 29.5 inch inseam. As other reviewers have noted, the belt isn't really ready to be worn in a conspicuous place - it looks like an underwear belt. The attached (right side) sash sits low in a thin lace loop at the left side and does not cover the sash. Deal but I wouldn't have gotten it if I thought I'd tuck my blouse in. The legs are full and the sheer outer layer is a nice touch. I bought an XL but I might have gotten an L; hard to say but i didn't want to order four pants and then send three back i can always take something in the waist quality is good and the pants are well made except for the belt.
