I always use 127 (not 126) for my Epson multifunction printer, not only because OEM is the only way to use ink for these printers, but also because they last a long time. My WF3540 uses 4 ink cartridges so it can be expensive but as they last a very long time it's not too bad. I'm not sure if it's the cartridges or the printer, however, but I've noticed lately that when a new cartridge is inserted, the printer takes a few tries to realize it's there - sometimes by rubbing the Bullet contacts with a little alcohol. is working. The rest - works fine.
