It's cute and easy to record with decent sound quality. However, the button has to be pressed quite far to register a click. This is difficult for my Doxy who only has 3" front legs. She will keep trying desperately to get her to react as she is not pushing down hard enough or far enough and can barely reach the center of the button, so she can press the edge without noticing her action. It might be better to hang her on the wall so she can sniff, but since she uses this behavior to smack my phone out of my hand when she gets attention I don't want to encourage her to poke her nose or give headbutts.Overall the dog and I like the concept of better communication. The hard part that we are trying to train is getting her to press the sick button when she senses a seizure is coming, right now before the seizure she is acting like she is very needy but she is already a very needy dog so it's hard to tell if that means she b soon to have a seizure. Also, I'm not sure how we're going to get them to distinguish "sick" from "hug me now". I'm sure it would be great for highly intelligent and trainable breeds like the GSD, although I'm sure mine would say "suspicious". Activity alert! laugh all day
