It is reliable when everything is put together. Its side panels are thin, so when you remove the lid with a handle and remove the inner dividers, the side panels can bend slightly. They don't just fall off or anything, but if you leave the lid open for any length of time the walls of the top compartment will likely warp enough to make the lid difficult to put on. I never leave mine out, so that won't be a problem. You get what you paid for with this product. It does exactly what I need. I'm sure it will serve you well as long as you don't use it for industrial purposes. Light hobbies and chores are perfect for this compartmented suitcase. See attached pictures.
