I got my first ratchet belt over two years ago. I immediately became a fan of its micro-customization ability. Depending on what I'm doing, I set it several times a day. During these two years I wear it as a daily belt and only occasionally change to another belt. I would estimate that during those two years he was seen at least 80% of the time. At first I was concerned that the leather embossed stoppers used for the micro sized belt will wear out and then the belt will start to slip and eventually become unusable. Look at the photo of the old strap's clips after two years of almost constant wear. I don't see any wear at all. I can also say that the belt still works like new. During that time I learned that there are at least two types of ratchet straps. This belt uses a lifting buckle to release. An alternate method is to use a small lever on the side of the buckle. This type of trigger is far superior in its effect, ease of use and sense of quality. I'll say right away that this belt exudes a sense of quality in both the leather and the buckle that feels like it's been milled from a blank. I've been wearing it for a few days now and I find it comfortable. If you have never used a lifting buckle ratchet, I highly recommend you try it. This particular belt is as good as any and even better than most, so it would be a good choice. Just remember this is the right size, not a vanity. Highly recommended.
