This rating is for the 2.0 gpm nickel plated model. it looks good, but it's noisy. I bought this to replace a good working 2GPM shower head that was about 4" in diameter and had about 40 tiny heads. .The half dome came in a plain box, mine came without the teflon tape (so add that to your order if you're not home), the head looks and feels like a quality product. It can be easily screwed onto the shower pipe and seals well from the start. From the start, showering was more comfortable. Water comes out of a single hole over 1 inch in diameter and feels more natural (choppy, not just faint). , steady streams) than from another head. The water from Half Dome also appears denser and warmer. This is a showerhead you'll want to linger under and not just switch off once you're done rinsing. It's noisy for some reason. It creates a static radio tone that is tuned between AM stations. If you are sensitive to this noise, look elsewhere. Anyway I like it. One note: High Sierra sells a version with a trickle valve (which lets you turn the shower on and off with a single button on the head), which might be worth it if you really want to save water. At least have a look.
