I have a couple of metal wire cubes that I have used for many years. I don't know the brand but I decided to give it a try. The metal is a little thinner than my old one and the result is less than 5 pounds of flex on the shelves. The squares are also much smaller. When fully assembled, this shelf only goes up to my hips. Also, a shelf made up of both rectangles and squares really negates how modular that shelf can be. I didn't need a square and a couple of rectangles, but there's no way to expand the shelf with just a square. If I could do it again I wouldn't buy it. I wish I knew the brand of my old cubic bearing so I could recommend it.
