Our kid wore trainers but the rain (it almost never rains) finally convinced me he needed different shoes as his socks got wet from puddles. The boots are pretty cute, I saw them and knitted them with quality boots that an adult would probably love to wear! Well made, durable, very comfortable inside and keeps feet warm. He's still learning how to tie his laces so we have a little work to do, but I like the velcro that helps keep the laces in place even if one of them comes loose (I hope not). It retains heat and still stays dry. ; the playground, all that walking and running on the wet grass is no longer a reason to worry. Size: We ordered a 2.5 and it fits as expected, now I just hope they at least make it through the colder months while he's growing so fast he's outgrowing them faster than I think. Our baby loves them!
