Review on 🌞 Yellow Kaito KA332W Portable Hand Crank Solar AM/FM NOAA Weather Radio with Cell Phone Charger and 3-LED Flashlight by Andre Pendergrass

Sturdy, works well, I recommend

The build quality of this unit is very good. I wish it was water and sand resistant as it would make a great boat radio, but it's small enough to fit a sandwich sized zip or small dry box for temporary sealing. Fairly light at half a pound, although ultralight backpackers will be disappointed. There are definitely not many things that can be added to a backpack for school or the office, or a large bag for the beach. We wanted it to be easy to find when all we have is moonlight, so we went with yellow, a nice canary yellow rather than a garish green-yellow. You won't tear down the house with the quality of FM tunes. from the built-in speaker, but the sound quality is good enough to understand sports broadcasts and especially NOAA weather forecasts. You can always connect an external speaker to the headphone jack if you're worried about the sound quality. The handle is easy to use, although the handle could be a bit longer. The crank is hidden under the block in case you're wondering where it is. Just a few twists and it will work for a while. The solar charger is very sensitive: standing in the middle of a room with open blinds, it gained a small charge! I am very satisfied with the self-sufficient emergency power supply. While it doesn't come with a charger, it does charge via Micro-USB and chances are you already have a Micro-USB charger. Many small electronic devices, including Kindles and most Android devices, are powered via Micro-USB. If you don't have a micro USB charger, you can get one pretty cheap here at Revain or at just about any store. As for the USB power output (phone charger): It is not suitable for power-hungry smartphones. . Instead of relying on the built-in battery to charge it, you have to use the crank and you can't keep your phone on to check progress (which is very slow). Don't rely on this thing to power your smartphone on week-long hikes or your arm might fall off. Not bad on less power-hungry devices like phones or e-ink readers. The flashlight is good and bright. Didn't expect disappointment. All round a great little device, cheap and small enough to keep in your car, office or anywhere you need emergency weather updates.
