Update: After 4 months all USB ports stopped working. Tried on two different computers. The only thing that still works is the video output, but even that often crashes when I'm using it. I'll throw it away as soon as I find a replacement. Pretty expensive rent for four months. Otherwise, the docking station still works, but the ethernet accidentally stopped working for me in the middle of use. I had it less than a month when it died if I was using it maybe 3 times a week. Unfortunately I didn't bother to look at the return date before the 31st day (was 30 days). I think it's worth noting - you can power your devices directly, but I was hoping to run the power through the dock. also, but the only way to deliver power through the document is to use a USB-C cable. Maybe I could use a phone charger, but I don't want to risk using a bad power adapter and burn out sooner, so I just plug the laptop in directly.
