Review on MonMount Freestanding Monitor 24 Inch LCD 6460B by Roman Palmer

Sturdy monitor stand that swings back and forth

It was a bit of a financial challenge but I'm fed up with two monitors taking up the entire desk. I hit the buy button and hoped for the best. When I received it, the first thing that struck me was - it's HEAVY! I assume this is to provide some stability when hanging the monitors on the brackets. It works out. After I installed the monitors, the fun part began - how do I set up the monitors for the best performance? Most people go with both landscapes. Some at the top come with both portraits. I'm just weird so I did a portrait and a landscape. I just like to go in any direction if it suits me. This stand has no problems with same or mixed orientation connectors. The stand is pretty stable even with my two 22" monitors hanging on the brackets. The black goes well with the hardware. The hardware is fairly adjustable (hard enough to hold the monitors in place and soft enough that I can rotate them or slide them in and out as needed). (as most people do), rotate the monitor mounting brackets forward until the edges of the monitor touch. For me, this means the front of my monitors are 14" (14") AWAY FROM THE WALL BEHIND MY DESK. This means 14" of my desk is UNDER the monitors and is no longer very useful. Or more space between them, I'm starting to look like a tennis fanatic, my neck twists from side to side to move between monitors, I can't do this all day long, big black space on the back half of my desk i use it to store small things: rubber stamps, jewellery, laptop, coin drawers. Sometimes something is missing from it, but usually I've learned to settle for just the front half of my desk now. I really like my two monitors, but I wish there was a better way (without the exorbitant hassle) to have the monitors juxtaposed differently but not sticking out 14 inches from the back of the stand.
