I used to have a pair of warm leather gloves that I really liked. Unfortunately I lost one of the gloves on the train so I had to buy a new one. First I measured my hand and got a little bigger than 8.5 so I ordered that size. When I received the gloves they were noticeably loose and had a lot of excess on the fingertips making it difficult to do anything in them. I decided to order a size 8 which was slightly smaller than my original pair but fit my fingers well and snugly without protruding which I like. You no longer have to take your gloves off to use your phone, but one area where I might have deducted half a star if I could is the cashmere lining. Sure they're soft, but my old pair had a faux fur lining, which was amazing. I think Warmen stopped using the old style and it's really a shame because they were perfect (except for the lack of touchscreen compatibility). When I wear these gloves I can feel the separate cashmere threads at the pressure points on my hands and they aren't as comfortable as the old pair. I've only tested them in mild weather (30 F) so far, so we'll see if they can insulate as well as my old pair, which kept me warm even in freezing temperatures. Overall, I really like these gloves. They are simple but look very stylish and work well. In any case, choose real leather, not an imitation. I ended up giving a friend a size 8.5.
