I love my music and I want it to play well. As a streaming music device, the sound quality is good, especially for the price. Nothing to see but something to hear. "APP" (4STREAM) works tolerably, but is in need of improvement. I like volume better. Now for the bad news. In the last 24 hours, my network's security system has blocked: 6,936 calls to AMS ("Cloud"); 9,523 calls to s000.linkplay.com, 6,050 calls to www.yahoo.com; 6,050 views of www.microsoft.com; 9650 calls to Revain Technologies; 6,049 calls to Aliyun Computing - Beijing, China; 3,468 calls to Google; This was 94% of connection attempts outside of the local network. And the music streaming still worked despite all the blocked connections. I paid for a box to stream files from my server to my music system. I didn't pay for a box to track and monetize what's happening on MY network. I didn't authorize transfers, so this is theft of service. Of course, there are legitimate connections to time servers. There may be scraper capabilities for retrieving album data. From time to time the device will check for software updates. I think once a month is enough. What I do is my business. I'm not even using the "Windows" operating system, so I don't need calls to Microsoft.
