We saved $5000: head sculpting

Bought this pillow and another similar one. We liked this one better because it stays in place better. Even if it gets dirtier. I wish we had bought this sooner. Our babies were born prematurely and started using the donut pillow in the ICU. We tried to take it but were told no it's too dangerous. We come home and after a few months we notice how flat their heads are. We do our best to keep them off heads, but there's not much you can do if you have newborn twins. We were sent to the clinic to check the roundness of their heads and were told they both needed a splint "immediately" — $2,500 each. We didn't have one and luckily we have a very pragmatic pediatrician. She said those clinics never said they needed to adapt immediately. As long as it has some curvature and is symmetrical, there is no need for bangs. We went into action by buying this, doc-a-tot and a few other places. Every time they were upside down, we put these pillows under them. It worked and at the last check-up the pediatrician said their heads looked fine and symmetrical.
